Homemade Sangria, A Recipe For Seduction, and Raising Multiethnic Kids

We have a good ol' time talking about how much we love Mario Lopez and KFC, ways we're trying to guide our kids in their multiethnic journey, and the parenting hack we call "go to the restroom." We're drinking homemade sangria (recipe in the show notes!).

What are we drinking?
Crown Royal Canadian Whiskey
Sangria

Ingredients:
  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 2 oranges, one juiced and one diced
  • 1 green apple, diced
  • 1 lemon, diced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Ground cloves
  • Simple syrup

Add the wine, brandy, orange juice, diced orange, diced apple, diced lemon, cinnamon stick to a large pitcher, and a pinch or two of ground cloves. Stir to combine. Taste and add in a few tablespoons of sweetener, if desired. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
